Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Tihamah: Jurnal Studi Islam, published two times, peer-reviewed journal, and specializes in Islamic Education, Islamic Economics, Management of Islamic Education, Islamic Politics, Arabic Language and Literature and other Islamic studies.

Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to review of the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review.

Articles should be written in Indonesia between approximately 10.000-15.000 words including text, all tables and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submission must include 150 words abstract and 5 keywords. Quotations, passages, and words in local or foreign languages should be translated into English. Tihamah: Jurnal Studi Islam accepts only electronic submissions. Therefore, authors must log in before submit their article. Before writing articles, writers are allowed to follow Template of Tihamah: Jurnal Studi Islam that have been provided by us.

All notes must appear in the text as citations. Tihamah: Jurnal Studi Islam uses Zotero or Mendeley reference manager application for easy inclusion of references and citations in the style of the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (full note).

 Arabic romanization should be written as follows:

 Letters: ’, b, t, th, j, ḥ, kh, d, dh, r, z, s, sh, ṣ, ḍ, ṭ, ẓ, ‘, gh, f, q, l, m, n, h, w, y. Short vowels: a, i, u. long vowels: ā, ī, ū. Diphthongs: aw, ay. Tā marbūṭā: t. Article: al-.
